Abstract

Introduction: MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scanning is a key part of the management of patients with soft tissue knee conditions and is considered the gold-standard diagnostic modality. The assumption is that there is agreement between specialists who review the MRI scans, particularly for commonly occurring knee problems. Discrepancies between radiologist and knee surgeon interpretations of scans has been noted. Objective: to analyse the degree and patterns of discrepancies in reporting/ interpretation of knee MRIs in patients with common knee presentations between consultant radiologists and knee surgeons
