Differences and Similarities Among the Different Generations of Refugees in Terms of their Attitudes Towards UNRWA: Aida Refugee Camp as a Case Study

Abstract

This paper studies the United Nations Relief and Work Agency in terms of returning historically to how the agency was established, the circumstances under which it was established, its mandate and the stages it went through. In addition to live testimonies or reactions which is presented by those who witnessed the UNRWA over 62 years. This paper also sheds light on refugees perspectives, feelings, regardless of the different basis which researchers have built their perceptions. This research paper goes from the perception that refugees feelings, perception and position, regardless of it being right or wrong, is the reality under which a refugee has established his/her relationship with the UNRWA. In the end, it is apparent that the different studied generations see UNRWA as an institution that presents cleaning services, at a time when all the service sectors have clearly receded, and a feeling of insecurity was apparent towards UNRWA.
