Abstract

There exist important scientific controversies about the characteristics or the intellectual profile of the gifted students, and about the variability provoked by the age and the cultural intervention. The aim of our study is to prove the existence and the type of these differences by analysing the profile of three groups of students: kindergarden, elementary school and middle high school. The total sample is composed by 148 students who had been evaluated through the Wechsler Scale (WISC-R /WIPPSI). The results show the existence of significant differences in the scales related with verbal areas or /and curricular knowledge (arithmetic and information) among the middle high school group and the others.
