Abstract

1. 1. The effectiveness of dietary ascorbic acid and procaine penicillin in ameliorating the response to the stressors glucagon, corticotrophin, withdrawal of food and water and extremes of environmental temperature, both short and long-term, has been assessed. 2. 2. No consistent changes in the responses were found, but it is suggested that the rates of inclusion of the substances may be important.
