Abstract

A test cell is described which can be used in the measurement of permittivity and power factor of hard bituminous and other dielectrics which can be melted but are virtually unmachinable. These materials always contract on cooling. The cell was designed for power frequencies, but would probably be suitable for radio frequencies as well.
