Abstract
A dual-port dielectric resonator (DR) based circularly polarized multi-input multi-output (MIMO) antenna is reported for wireless local area network (WLAN) applications. In this antenna, a corner truncated V-shaped DR is used to obtain circular polarization (CP) radiation. Along with this, two symmetric orthogonal feed networks are deployed to lessen mutual coupling between the ports. Simulation outcomes demonstrate that the reported MIMO antenna has a 10-dB impedance bandwidth of 10.28% (4.89–5.42 GHz) and a 3-dB axial ratio (AR) bandwidth of 4.17% (5.16–5.38 GHz). Also, diversity performance of proposed MIMO antenna is evaluated by using envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) and diversity gain (DG).
