Abstract Dielectric properties of plasma polymerized polyvinyl carbazole PVCa and butane films have been analysed in the frequency range 10 to 10s Hz. In order to explain the experimental data obtained, the Maxwell-Garnett (MG) and Bruggemann self-consistent (BSC) models were modified for the case of three-component composites.
