Abstract

The apparent molecular polarization at infinite dilution of acrylonitrile in constant-ratio mixtures of styrene, benzene, and ethyl vinyl ether in cyclohexane leads to the inference of the equilibrium constants of the association process between the acid and the base, and the dipole moments of the complexes formed. The results are mainly consistent with the concept of dipole–dipole interaction. Keywords: dielectric polarization, molecular interaction, styrene, acrylonitrile, cyclohexane.
