Abstract
Abstract Dielectric, piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties of relaxor ferroelectric in the (1–x)Pb(Mg0.7Zn0.3)1/3Nb2,3O3–xPbTiO3 (PMZN-PT) solid solution series have been investigated. The dielectric constant and loss of poled samples were determined. Electromechanical coupling factor and piezoelectric d33 constant of the PMZN-PT system were measured. The addition of PbTiO3 affects the dielectric, piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties of PMZN system and transition temperature is continuously shifted to higher temperature with increase of a small amount of PbTiO3. The composition with the maximum electromechanical coupling factor and piezoelectric d33 constant exhibits the high dielectric and pyroelectric constant. The optimum value of dielectric, pyroelectric and piezoelectric constant were obtained for compositions near the morphotropic phase boundary.
