Abstract

This work presents a transparent gated thin film transistor (TGTFT) for biosensing purpose, having a small cavity for biomolecules detection and also the transparent of TG-TFT enriches the current effectiveness of TG-TFT. Various electrical properties like switching ratio (ION/IOFF), VTH shifts, and potential fluctuations have been examined for biomolecule sensing and then sensitivity was examined. TG-TFT Biosensor presented an incremental sensitivity for an increase in dielectric constant (k) value because of the high ION. Sensitivity was evaluated with comparison to k = 1 (i.e. air) and formula for the same is discussed later. Some other electrical properties such as electric field, potential, and mobility are also discussed and compared with other biomolecules.
