Abstract

The dielectric function of nuclear matter has been studied in the framework of finite temperature field theory based on the quantum hadrodynamics II model. We find that it has two extrema and one singularity in terms of ${K}_{0}∕k$. One of the extrema reflects Landau damping and the other is related to the resonance phenomenon.
