Abstract
Abstract This article deals with some aspects of the paradigmatic concept in comparative politics. The first section attempts to demonstrate the logical and structural consistency of relatively well known conceptual schemes. The second section deals with the paradigmatic concept as a norm for social‐scientific theory assessment. The overarching frame of reference is the metatheoretical juncture in the discipline.
