Abstract
The chemical shifts of the methine, methylene and methyl protons in XC(CH 3) 2SC(U)(V)(T) compounds have been obtained and tabulated. Especially the compounds with X = H, CH 3, HOCO or C 6H 5 and C(U)(V)(T) = CH 3, CH 2CH 3, CH(CH 3) 2, C(CH 3) 3, CH 2C 6H 5, CH(CH 3)C 6H 5, C(CH 3) 2 CH 2COOH. CH(CH 3)COOH, C(CH 3)COOH, CH(COOH)CH 2COOH or CH(C 6H 5)COOH have been studied. Some relations between the chemical shifts and the substituents are discussed. The influence of substituents on the chemical shifts of protons at distances of ⪯ 5 bonds has been demonstrated.
