Die mischkristallreihe EuO-SrO und ein neues verfahren zur darstellung von euo

Abstract

Homogeneous phases of the mixed oxides EuO and SrO have been prepared by the reaction of appropriate mixtures of the oxides Eu 2O 3 and SrO with the hydrides SrH 2 and EuH 2 at about 800°C. The mixed crystal phases exhibit, like the pure oxides, the crystal structure of the NaCl-type. The lattice constants follow Végard's law. Pure monoxide EuO can be prepared by the same reaction starting with Eu 2O 3 and EuH 2.
