Abstract

Teaching psychotherapy is a new discipline. The literature on this issue is very scarce. Balzani et al. (2011) tried to illustrate the formative model created by the Institute of Constructivist Psychology in Padua. This model stems directly from the epistemological assumptions of Personal Construct Psychology (Kelly, 1955). In this paper a further reflection on ICP model is made thanks to references at the art of teaching philosophy in Ancient Greece. Some analogies are highlighted and the role of the teacher is particularly underlined.
