Abstract

A member of the University of California‐San Diego rowing team committed suicide, allegedly due to psychological abuse from his coaches. The student‐athlete faced abuse from his coaches after he allegedly attempted to report a teammate for sexual misconduct against female students. The student‐athlete continued to speak up about the allegations and questioned his coach's failure to discipline the teammate or relay the sexual misconduct reports to the university administration.
