Abstract

A University of New Mexico varsity basketball player was accused of battery by a non‐student, and the Albuquerque Police Department took the report on the allegations. UNM's athletics director met with the student‐athlete in December 2019 to inform him the university was banning him from campus and from playing or practicing with the basketball team due to the accusations. The student‐athlete also received notice he was facing eviction from his on‐campus residence due to the battery allegations.
