Abstract

During the past four years approximately 350 trematodes belonging to the family Dicrocoeliidae have been collected from birds taken for their skins in Idaho. Some of the dicrocoeliids are regarded as new species while some represent new host and distribution records for this group of trematodes. Four new species, belonging to four different genera, are described. Denton and Byrd (1951) contributed to our knowledge of the Dicrocoeliidae of the eastern United States, but published records of this group of helminths from western states are rare.
