Abstract
There are two independent molecules of [PdCl 2 (C 11 H 20 Si)] in the asymmetric unit. The coordination geometry about Pd II is square planar. The structure exhibits positional disorder. The silyl substitution at the vinylic position is found to cause a lengthening of the metal-olefin bond
