Abstract
The title compound, [SbBr2(C6H5)3], contains discrete trigonal-bipyramidal molecules and is a polymorph of a previously reported structure. The relationship to the previous structure is presented, the main chemical difference being in the Br—Sb—C—C torsion angles. The preferred conformations of various Ph3EX2 (E = Group 15 element, X = halogen) molecules are displayed graphically.
