Abstract

SYNOPSISDiazoxide was used to correct severe hypoglycaemia in an 18 month old infant with probable debrancher enzyme deficiency. No significant complications were noted after an 8 month course of treatment and there were no changes in liver function tests. The modes of action of diazoxide are discussed.
