Abstract

The diatom community that inhabits both the water-column and the benthos of tidepools positioned along an intertidal gradient, during late spring and early summer is described. Samples from the water-column and benthos of five tidepools, ranging from 1.5 to 6.5 m, were collected on five dates, and the diatom community benthos of five tidepools, ranging from 1.5 to 6.5 m, were collected on five dates, and the diatom community was recorded.
