Abstract

Abstract Limited collaborative study of the Schade method for determination of diastase in honey indicates need for further examination of the procedure. Because diastase determination is used in quality control of export honey, the 1963 collaborative samples were analyzed by the Institut fur Honigforschung, Bremen, Germany, by their version of the Schade method. Slightly lower values were obtained.
