Abstract
This chapter examines the main concern in the writings of the Indian Nepali diaspora who write from Nepal in the Nepali language. Among many Nepali writers who have migrated to Nepal, this chapter takes up two prominent ones and their work – Peter J. Karthak’s Pratyek Thhaun; Pratyek Manchhe (1976) (Every Place; Every People) and Bishnu Kumari Waiba’s Usle Rojeko Bato (1978) (The Chosen Way). Specific criteria are adopted to select these two writers and their work, like genre, time, space, gender, historical situation, etc. The chapter analyses many of the factors like historical and cultural in the context of diaspora while dealing with the texts. It keeps the text as the basis to analyse reverse diaspora and the issues of identity among the Indian Nepalis.
