Abstract

Abstract Blastocystis species and related species—the topics of this book—introduce intestinal symptoms of diseases that are described in literature as diarrheas of dysenterias. Thus this short article intends to present a condensed survey on other agents of diseases leading to similar symptoms as infections with Blastocystis species. In general these symptoms are not very specific, so that intense diagnosis must be done in order to find out the responsible agents of disease and thus to have the chance to apply the most helpful measurements of therapy and prophylaxis.KeywordsDiarrheal DiseaseIntestinal DiseaseNotifiable DiseaseEntamoeba HistolyticaAnimal FecesThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
