Abstract
The the title compound [systematic name: 4-(2,2,4-trimethylchroman-4-yl)phenol–trichloroacetonitrile (6/1)], 6C18H20O2·C2Cl3N, the usual trigonal packing of the Dianin's compound host structure occurs. The guest is found in a host–guest ratio of 6:1. Cl⋯π interactions serve to order the guest, thus facilitating its structural characterization.
