Abstract
The dication of the title cluster salt, [(η5-C5Me5)2Mo2(μ3-S)4Cu2(PhNH2)2](ClO4)2·0.5PhNH2 or [Mo2Cu2(C10H15)2S4(C6H7N)2](ClO4)2·0.5C6H7N, features an [Mo2S4Cu2] cubane-like core structure. The CuI atom, coordinated by three bridging S atoms and the N atom of an aniline ligand, exhibits a tetrahedral coordination geometry. The uncoordinated aniline molecule is disordered over two positions related by an inversion centre.
