Abstract

A field experiment was carried out in 201214 to study the location specific nutrient requirement based on soil test value and to evolve suitable growth model for yield predic-tion in Dalbergia sissoo under irrigated condi-tion. The experiment was conducted in random-ized block design with four replications. There were six different treatment combinations of soil test value based organic and inorganic fertilizers. Among the different regression models tried, the polynomial equation proved superior to other equations in predicting fresh weight of compo-nents. Under site and management specific plantations of Dalbergia sissoo, the best fit poly-nomial equation derived was y = 0.3305x2-3.8526x + 24.076 in 125% of STV 138: 98: 65 NPK kg ha−1 + VAM (100g plant−1) + Azospirillum (50g plant−1) + Phosphobacteria (50g plant−1) + FYM (500g plant−1). Among the different INM levels, six growth models were tried to derive the growth function of DBH. Based on the predicting ability and co efficient of determination (R2) val-ue, the validity of different models were tested and it was found that Gompertz Relation growth model was the best fit for the present study.
