Abstract

Abstract The concepts of dialogism, dialogue and interaction are notoriously difficult to define and to operationalize. The introducing article briefly discusses different conceptions of dialogism, sketches linguistic theories such as dialogue and discourse analysis as well as interactional linguistics and gives an overview of the contributions of this special issue on dialogism.
