Abstract

In his book The main problems of the biblical theology in the 20th century divided Henning Graf Reventlow the latest attempts to recover a total biblical theology into three groups: (i) the traditional historical approach; (ii) the attempt to a particular term or central idea as a link between the two out wills or as their center; and (iii) the output from the world order thinking. Traditionally, Diakonie has been viewed and treated as a New Testament theme. The biblical idea of creation is among other things an expression of the difference between God and man. This difference is made clear with the image of God as a potter and humans as clay in his hand and in the juxtaposition of God's eternity and the transience of human life. The original context of the chapter is in German. Keywords: biblical theology; Diakonia of God; Henning Graf Reventlow; New Testament
