Abstract

This considers a single electron moving in a disordered array of spherically symmetric scatterers, the whole immersed in an external, static, uniform magnetic field. It is shown in a straightforward manner under very broad assumptions about the distribution of scatterers that the averaged scattering matrix and other related operators are diagonal with respect to a complete set of eigenstates describing a free electron in a magnetic field.
