Abstract

Ischemic heart disease is one of the main causes of mortality in Colombia as well as worldwide. Its impact on morbidity and mortality has favored an important global effort to conduct research in this area. As a result, differences in multiple aspects of this disease regarding gender differences have surfaced. This paper examines differences in pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of coronary disease in women.
