Abstract
Se reporta un caso de encefalocele frontal, rara presentación de los defectos del tubo neural. Fue diagnosticado por ultrasonido a las 31 semanas de edad gestacional. Se describe las características ecográficas del encefalocele (masa extracraneal, ventriculomegalia y defecto óseo del cráneo) y se considera algunas entidades que pueden simular imágenes de encefalocele frontal para su diagnostico diferencial, como son glioma óptico hemangioma, teratoma. Se realizó estudios para determinar malformaciones asociadas, los cuales fueron negativos.
