Abstract
The main processes in logistics are transport and storage. The introduction of standardized transport packaging has significantly improved these processes. The most popular transport packaging is a wooden EURO pallet. The industrial revolution 4.0 requires digital integration of elements of all processes. It was necessary to introduce innovative elements supporting Industry 4.0 to the transport pallet. A digital identification system, sensory systems as well as communication and power systems for the wooden transport pallet were developed. The digital identification systems are based on the UHF RFID standard. In the field of digital identification, the standard EPC number and a special user data space were used. Communication with sensory systems uses Bluetooth Low Energy. The acquisition system can optionally measure temperature, humidity, pallet tilt, vibrations and shocks, as well as the weight of goods on a pallet. The system uses solutions to reduce energy consumption through event definitions. Data acquisition takes place only in case of an event. This paper presents the assumptions for the construction of the system, a description of the developed systems and the results of tests of functional properties. The system was implemented for production and made available to a company that performs logistic processes.
