Abstract

The operating principles of an algorithm for integrated diagnostics and control of ceramic tools during milling of tempered steel are discussed. The algorithm for detection of wear of the tool is based on the use of force parameters and chipping is identified from vibro-acoustic signals. The generalized structure of the subsystem for diagnostics and control of the state of a ceramic tool in a computer numerical controlled milling machine is described.
