Abstract

Objective To investigate the diagnostic values of multi-slice spiral CT multi-directional recombination technique and simulated endoscopy for bronchial tuberculosis. Methods Eighty patients with suspected bronchial tuberculosis admitted to our hospital from September, 2018 to September, 2019 were enrolled. All the patients underwent multi-slice spiral CT multi-directional recombination technique combined with simulated endoscopy and fiberoptic bronchoscopy. The pathological results was used as the gold standard. The diagnostic values of multi-slice spiral CT multi-directional recombination technique combined with simulated endoscopy and fiberoptic bronchoscopy for bronchial tuberculosis were compared. Results According to pathological diagnosis, 68 cases of the 80 patients were confirmed with bronchial tuberculosis, including 31 cases of left bronchial tuberculosis, 37 cases of right bronchus, and 12 cases of foreign body in trachea. The diagnostic accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictive values of fiberoptic bronchoscopy were 58.75%, 63.24%, 33.33%, 84.31%, and 13.79%, respectively; and those of multi-slice spiral CT multi-directional recombination technique combined with simulation endoscopy were 91.25%, 97.06%, 58.33%, 92.96%, and 77.78%, respectively; the diagnostic accuracy, sensitivity, and negative and positive predictive values multi-slice spiral CT multi-directional recombination technique combined with simulation endoscopy were higher, with statistical differences (all P<0.05). Conclusions Multi-slice spiral CT multi-directional recombination technique and simulated endoscopic technique have high clinical value for diagnosing bronchial tuberculosis, and can significantly improve the diagnostic accuracy and facilitate the patients’ early treatment . It is worthy of clinical promotion. Key words: Bronchial tuberculosis; Multi-slice spiral CT multi-directional recombination and simulated endoscopy; Fiberoptic bronchoscopy; Diagnosis
