Abstract

Breast cancer is the third leading cause of death after lung and colorectal cancer in United States (1). It preferentially tends to metastasize to axillary lymph nodes (2). Traditionally, axillary lymph node dissection was performed to decide the stage of the disease and the planning of postsurgical treatment (3, 4).
