Abstract

Abstract Efforts were made to understand the diagnosing criteria of liver and spleen disharmony based on 734 clinical cases handled by renowned veteran TCM doctors. In the study, researchers entered clinical information into a Structural Clinical Information Collection System for Renowned Veteran TCM Doctors, turning clinical data into standardized structural information, and analyzing the symptoms using support vector machine (SVW). Results show that the mostly reported syndromes are bluish complexion, multiple tics, abnormal liver function, lassitude, aversion to heat, later menstruation among others, which is somewhat different from the one defined by the Guiding Principles for New Herbal-drug Clinical Trial and the National Standard. Apparently, one needs to establish a feasible diagnosing criteria based on experts experience and clinical data.
