Abstract

Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) has been shown to be a safe and effective method for diagnosing and treating biliary and pancreatic diseases in adults; however, the role of ERCP in children has not been as well established. Aim: To evaluate the indications, findings, therapies, safety and technical success of ERCP in the pediatric population. Methods: A retrospective review of an ERCP database at our tertiary care referral center was queried for all patients 17 years or younger who underwent procedures between October 1, 1998 and September 30, 2008.
