Abstract
We recently had an interesting diagnostic problem thrust upon us. We were asked to study a pregnancy in a patient who had previously had a baby with renal agenesis. Serial ultrasound examinations at 16, 17 and 19 weeks gestation showed oligo-hydramnios. The fetal urinary bladder could not be seen on any of these studies. We did not spend much time looking for the fetal kidneys as it has been our experience that these are extremely difficult to see even in the normal fetus.
