Abstract

Background: Plasma cell gingivitis [PCG] is a rare benign condition of the gingivae which histopathological highlights a diffuse and massive infiltration of plasma cells into the sub-epithelial gingival tissue. It is characterised clinically by sharply oedematous and erythematous gingivae which is often painful. It may be related secondary in reaction to specific medications, antigens and may highlight an underlying systemic disease. (1)
