Abstract

In induction motors, eccentricity faults are very common. If it is not detected at early stages, these faults would develop more serious problems. In this paper static, dynamic and mixed eccentricity are modeled for understanding the effects of this type of faults. The effects are examined in terms of alterations in stator current, torque characteristic, radial flux, and magnetic pull. Results are compared with each other and with a healthy machine.
