Abstract
Objective To analyze the clinical experience of diagnosis and treatment of congenital diaphragmatic hernia in newborn infants,and to improve the operative success rate and quality of life.Methods Thirty-six neonates were diagnosed as congenital diaphragmatic hernia in Zhengzhou Children's Hospital from May 2007 to May 2012.The clinical data were retrospectively reviewed.Results Thirty-four cases were treated surgically and 32 cases survived,while 2 cases died.The main causes of death was congenital pulmonary dysplasia and pulmonary artery hypertension.Another 2 cases did not accept surgical treatment and they all died.Conclusions The mortality of congenital diaphragmatic hernia in neonates is still high,should strengthen prenatal diagnosis of congenital diaphragmatic hernia and the cooperation between the obstetric and neonatal surgery,to improve the survival rate of congenital diaphragmatic hernia in newbom infants.
