Abstract
Objective To study the diagnosis and proper treatment of hepatocellular adenoma (HCA) and review the literature.Methods The clinical data of 11 patients with HCA treated in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed.Results Most of the patients were asymptomatic and serum test in them was normal.Of the 11 HCA lesions,foci of carcinoma were disclosed in 2 and atypical hyperplasia in 3.The imaging findings of HCA in most patients were specific.The outcome was satisfactory with surgical resection.Conclusion HCA has nonspecific clinical manifestation and imaging findings are of great value in its diagnosis.Histological examination is not advised for tumor suspected of HCA.Surgical resection is optimal for its management.
