Abstract

Odontomes are benign tumors developing from the epithelial and mesenchymal cells which are completely differentiated into ameloblasts and odontoblasts that forms enamel and dentin. They are of two types, complex and compound. Complex odontomes are typically seen in the mandibular posterior region where as compound odontomes have a preference towards the maxillary anterior region. They are rarely associated with deciduous dentition. This article presents a case of compound odontoma in a child below 4 years old who reported with a history of missing deciduous left central Incisor.
