Abstract

Results of studying vibration of printing units of tower rotary printing presses are presented. It is shown experimentally that the amplitude of vibration of a printing-cylinder pair due to the effect of plate-and blanket-cylinder gaps depends on the state of bearings. Properties to be monitored for vibroacoustic maintenance checks of bearings are identified. The results can be used for maintenance checks of press drives.
