Abstract

This common chronic skin condition is distressing for patients affecting their well being and quality of life. Margaret Perry provides an overview of this condition, its symptoms and management. Psoriasis is a long-term chronic condition, which often follows a relapsing and remitting course, requiring treatment throughout the affected person's life. It can be distressing for patients affecting their well being and quality of life. This article aims to give nurses and non-medical prescribers an overview of this condition, its symptoms and management with the hope that they may feel more confident in recognising and treating this distressing disease.
