Abstract

The use of distributed generation (DG) allied to smart grids offers a series of benefits for the electrical system and, consequently, the society that makes use of it. Specifically, in the economic and planning area, bringing solutions that propose a union between improving the electrical system and reducing operating costs is very interesting. Thus, this article addresses a monthly demand forecasting analysis based on the simple linear regression method, using as tool Open DSS software for the feasibility study and economic advantages of the application of an adaptive control for intelligent dispatch of distributed generation applied to the network Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) - case study. As research results, it became possible to structure a programming routine that enabled the insertion of intelligent energy generation, as well as a more accurate verification of the impacts on the load and the economy of the analyzed network.
