Abstract

Pupils' compositions in short-term vocational education bear traces of characteristic difficulties in cohesion and in mastery of linguistic processes. This study presents a typology and an analysis of the main deficiencies observed, based on a corpus of 263 papers provided by the organizers of the symposium. The main problems observed concern the articulation between texts and instructions, the choice of a deictic location and of an argumentative line, the use of anaphoric expressions, the choice of referential expressions, managing agreements and logical and argumentative linking.
