Abstract

Megaspores have been recovered from rock samples at two horizons in the De Greenland. The first, on Ella Island from the Rödebjerg Formation, is of probable Givetian age; the second on Ymers Island from the Kap Graah Group, is of probable Late Frasnian or Early Famennian age. Twenty species have been identified, and information from these, adds support to trends seen previously in Devonian megaspores, and suggests a possible line of development in seed megaspores.
